"In A Good Way" Episode 8

This episode tingles in the continuous character development as it is built to supplement the story. During the previous episode, Jia En found out in a subtle way who 3631 is. That led to an awkward silence and acceptance from both. He must have admitted to himself that in the end, Jia En had put all the pieces together no matter how much he tried to hide himself from her and that there is no excuse for it. I must say, I was pretty satisfied at how she discovered him and more importantly, the way she responded upon knowing his identity online. Moreover, I was surprised at how composed she is, and it was totally opposite of his fears and expectations.

After few weeks of vacation, Liu Chuan and Jia En met at the Treasure Hunt Club headquarters - Jia En asked Liu Chuan how 3631 is doing and he talked about him as a third person, like a common friend or something. So, they will continue to jump off the seasons in order to meet the future. Okay, I am not complaining and I am excited to meet them on the current year of 2014. But not quickly, I want to savour every moment of watching them grow and witness the change brought by college and friends.

In this episode, I felt sorry for Xiao Wei. This girl needs a friend to understand her situation with her family and their financial problem. She is unsure whether to share her problems or not to her friends, thus making herself absent from the activities and gatherings of the group. Though they invited her, she can't directly divulge the reason why she is exempting herself. Thus, I need Ri Qi to step up for her and dig in the situation. It's also apparent now that she has feelings for Ri Qi or somehow still affected by him being 3631, to whom Jia En is interested. As she said to him when Ri Qi asked for many bracelets for her to make because he needs a lot of lucky charms, she told him Jia En would give him hers. That way, Ri Qi was left speechless. That means, you need to clear the misunderstanding to her and that would somehow cheer her up.

Meanwhile, Ren Wei in this episode gave Jia En a scary 5 second stare while doing the reverse parking. Which I thought was hilarious and a childish thing for having the goal of being good looking in front of Bai Xue. As if, RW has figured how to exceed Liu Chuan's handsomeness. Ah Di and Jacky are very supportive of him, but when put together, they are hilarious at illustrating the reverse action while parking. Even the girls can't figure out what RW is doing - was that Tai Chi or a new dance. LOL. Prior to that, like I said, I love the Men of Steel trio for their own charms, and by listening to their convos, you could spill your drink if you are sipping one. Their convo can be as random as the possibility of any of them liking Liu Chuan in secret. But of course, that's something that blurts out from their mouth.

Analyzing Jia En and Ren Wei's situation (leaving Liu Chuan get jealous in regret), because this drama has infinite possibilities of the future, I am not closing the idea of them being together. If we go down with history of being together, they have had so much to share. But personally, I would like to dismiss these thoughts because they are just too good to be lovers. They are better off as friends and besides, they have partners with whom they can be with, though they may not be the better choice but this drama has already delivered a ship to sail. So, no way! Anyhow, I want everyone to be happy regardless of who they end up with. I know that I am thinking too early but, so far this drama has truly been unpredictable in a suspenseful and exciting way. It's never boring to guess, it just keeps me thinking.

For the last few minutes, the Treasure Hunt Club went for hiking, and they had a mission. That is to find Liu Chuan. They went in groups first, then in pairs. However, Jia En and Ri Qi went solo. This episode has a suspenseful ending, and I didn't know this drama has this side which can be really scary. Gosh, what happened to Jia En for screaming out loud?
