Review: Heartless City

Commentaries:

The story has come to its finale and I’m left here trying to absorb everything about the series, on how amazing it has been! It totally was worth of an emotional ride and excitement. I can clearly claim this drama as my favorite now simply because of the overall impact that it has brought to me starting from its brilliant editing, story line, and cinematography down to the great images portrayed.

Review: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Genre: Comedy, Fantasy, Romance
Release Date: August 11, 2010

Casts:

Lee Seung Gi - Cha Dong Woong
Shin Min Ah - Gumiho / Gil Dal

Review:

I watched this drama out of love for Lee Seung Gi but honestly speaking, at first I wasn't expecting anything great because I'm not the biggest fan of rom-com dramas and aside from that, I thought Shin Min Ah was not the perfect match for him as far as onscreen chemistry is concerned. Basing from the trailers that I saw, I was a bit hesitant about their team up. Anyway, I did watch it and contrary to my beliefs, I enjoyed it. The fact that it wasn't boring was not only because it's comedy but also they added a fantasy factor on it which is new to me I guess but then again, there are still pitfalls overall because this is a fantasy series.

Review: Cinderella's Sister

We're used to seeing Cinderella as the main character in the old Disney classics which has became the norm to every story. However, this time around, the story was rewritten to revolve around the life of her step-sister, Eun Jo. Because of Cinderella's anticipation of developing a close relationship to the new additions to their family, with her usual clingy self, to her attempt scared step-sister away. She has pushed the button to Eun Jo's resistance towards her; moreover, doubting her sincerity to communicate. As step mom is now focused in pleasing Cinderella, Eun Jo has thrown bricks of jealousy but more of disgust in awareness that mother is just faking it. Due to conflicting attitude and character between the step-sisters; added with guilt towards the unreciprocated overwhelming act of kindness which suffocates Eun Jo, exhausted Cinderella's effort as well to some point; nonetheless, she was persistent of wooing Eun Jo with every ounce of strength she has. While on the process of making things work, the chances of a good sibling relationship has slimmed by the man that stands in between them. The prince charming, who is contrary to the tales, has treated Cinderella like  his sister and nothing more but has also shown great interest and care to Eun Jo - who was eventually touched by such gentlemanly gestures. As Cinderella can't win step sister's approval, she tried to win over Prince Charming but to her poor judgment, it happened to cause misunderstandings, enough to break relationships. Bearing the guilt from the past, Cinderella will face the consequence of her mistake. From here, the story really gets interesting after years have passed.

Review: Chuno The Slave Hunters

Oh My Goodness. If I were to put this in one word, it's BADASS! Gaaaad, I'm only at episode 8 of Chuno and it's making me want to give it a perfect 10/10 ratings already! I really want to give this series a special treatment because they deserve it, I felt like the story is a well thought of together with the mind-blowing scenes. Everything is just perfect based on what I've seen so far that it makes me want to shed some tears right here. *insert incomprehensible spazz here and there*  I'm so hyped up right now, I can't even think straight! Goodness this series is too good to be true, how the heck was it possible? I'm 3 years late and I'm only seeing this now, where in the world have I lost myself into to miss this out?! Heck. Honestly, I am pressured to do a review so I'm not gonna do that, I will fail badly and there won't be any redemption to that I suppose. HAHA!! So I think it's a better idea to share in this blog what I feel regarding this series as I go on watching. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a decent entry which I think is hard. There will be a lot of spazz that will take place.

Review: Reply Me 1997

Release Date: July 24, 2012
Genre: Romance, Comedy, Youth

My August-September 2012 twitter timeline was mostly filled with rants over Reply Me 1997. At first I wasn't confident in giving it a try for two reasons. First, I wasn't familiar with the casts and second, they are rookie actors not to mention idols as considered by Kpop fans. Thus, I was hesitant in putting my time and effort on it until last February. Beforehand, I have heard good reviews about this tvN drama made mostly by TVXQ fans and even TVXQ themselves. They once shared in a radio show that they were an avid follower of each episode of the drama despite of their tight schedule. That gave me interest to the series despite of pushing it aside for other dramas which are readily available to watch. By  February this year, it was recommended to me by a friend and she's lend me a copy of it for me to watch.

Review: Wolf Children Ame and Yuki

It is an animated film with a box office hit success in Japan on 2012. It received numerous recognition from the different award winning bodies and positive reviews from critics. The movie was highly recommended by JYJ's Yoochun which he mentioned in one of his interviews  and that's how it caught my attention.
